The project compact STorage ring for Accelerator Research and Technology (cSTART) shall provide a storage ring capable to operate with ultra-short electron bunches and wide momentum spread. For ultra-short electron bunches, FLUTE will be developed into an injector for such a ring. Injecting LPA-like electron beams into such a ring shall bring laser plasma accelerator (LPA) technology to application evaluating them for usage as storage ring injectors.
